Karna's Final Sacrifice
As Karna lay on his deathbed, a mysterious Brahmin saint appeared, revealed to be none other than Krishna himself. In a frail state, Karna was asked for an offering in the name of Dharma. His weakened voice questioned, "O Lord Brahmin, what can I offer in this capitulated condition?"
Krishna, teasingly, reminded Karna of his renowned generosity and challenged him. Undeterred, Karna, in agonizing pain, searched his macabre surroundings and found a stone. With unwavering determination, he forced the stone into his mouth, breaking two golden teeth. In awe of Karna's courage, Krishna remained a silent observer.
However, Krishna, still disguised, cursed Karna for offering saliva-ridden teeth. Deeply affected, Karna, with battered limbs, crawled towards his bow. Torn and threadless, his bow symbolized his earlier defeat to Arjuna. Every painful inch forward stained the ground with his blood, but driven by the legend within, he found an auxiliary thread.
With a profusely bleeding hand, Karna drew the thread and launched a final arrow into the ground. A stream of water burst forth, and Karna cleansed the stained teeth. Krishna, embarrassed, revealed his true form, acknowledging Karna's valor. Bowing, he offered to revive Karna and grant him dominion over the world.
Yet, Karna, tired of life's travails, declined. Instead, he pleaded for forgiveness for any unintentional wrongs and envisioned a world where Dharma reigns, ensuring prosperity for all, regardless of caste or humble beginnings. Krishna silently agreed, blessing the warrior prince.
